Humboldt 36 Farms is a mom and pop cultivation located in a unique Coastal Plain region of Humboldt County. The family team grows in native soils, uses native water and prides themselves on having one of the smallest footprints while maximizing quality using the natural abundant resources in their favor. The land has been an organic cattle pasture since the mid 1800’s. For this reason and many more Arcata Fire chose to partner with them in the curation, cultivation, and harvest for the 2022 season.

Banana Punch is a 50/50 hybrid strain created by crossing Banana OG and Purple Punch. Bred by Symbiotic Genetics, this flower has become a popular choice among cannabis enthusiasts due to its tropical aroma and fruity flavors of berries, pineapple, and bananas, with a spicy twist.

Tasting this flavor in vape form during our R&D process told us that we had to not only allocate this special strain for rosin but we had to melt some down for syrup. The decarb process delicately cured the aromas and flavor for a super bananas and punch loudness with slightly less complexity but a deeper true to strain taste. This Banana Punch syrup further sedates compared to the rosin and deserved its own place on the shelf for that purpose and many more.

What is rosin syrup?

As we explored clarifying rosin and learned the differences between this ingredient and live resin and other types of oils, we knew we had to name it something that separated it from the others while also explaining its consistency at its core. "Rosin Syrup" is just like it sounds: a liquified rosin that has a nice light amber glow and, when warm, pours just like syrup. It also tends to be tasty and sweet, just like something you’d put on pancakes. Our hope is that in the near future, syrup becomes a way to boost pre-rolls and edibles, as well as a product on its own for those who want a potent hit and high.
