Orange Tree is a legendary cannabis strain that has remained shrouded in mystery for years. While its origins are unknown, there are many theories and tales surrounding its creation. One of the most compelling stories tells of a group of passionate growers who embarked on a journey to create the perfect strain. They aimed to develop a cannabis strain that embodied the beauty of nature and the power of genetics. After years of trial and error, the growers succeeded in their mission, and Orange Tree was born.
Orange Tree. This strain is a hybrid of Orange Valley OG and 24K Gold, boasting a 60% sativa and 40% indica ratio. The buds of Orange Tree are deep forest green with thin orange hairs and a coating of frosty white trichomes that glisten like stars on a clear night. The aroma of Orange Tree is a complex mix of creamy citrus and woody earth with hints of spicy herbs. Its flavor is equally impressive, with sweet citrus and sour herbs dominating the palate, complemented by an exotic spiciness that makes this strain truly unique. Orange Tree is well known for its calming enlightening mental effects, with a peaceful overtone that lingers long after the last puff.
The lineage of Orange Tree is a complicated web of genetics, with multiple strains coming together to create this enigmatic strain. Orange Valley OG is a hybrid of 818 Pure SFV OG S1 and Agent Orange, while 24K Gold is a cross between Kosher Kush and Tangie. Agent Orange itself is a hybrid of Orange Velvet and Jack the Ripper, with Orange Velvet being a mix of Skunk and an unknown strain, and Jack the Ripper a hybrid of Jacks Cleaner and Space Queen. 818 Pure SFV OG S1 is believed to be a descendant of OG Kush SFV Cut, a legendary strain that originated in California. Its genetics are thought to include Chemdawg, Lemon Thai, and Hindu Kush, with Chemdawg being an unknown hybrid of Indica and Sativa. Jack Herer, a popular and potent strain, is also part of Orange Tree's lineage. Its genetics include Haze, Northern Lights #5, and Shiva Skunk, with Haze being a mix of Mexican, Colombian, Thai, and Indian strains, and Northern Lights #5 a hybrid of Northern Lights and Skunk #1. Romulan, a mostly Indica strain, is also part of Orange Tree's family tree.
In conclusion, Orange Tree is a strain of cannabis that is as unique as it is mysterious. Its complex genetics and beautiful appearance make it a favorite among growers and consumers alike. The journey to discovering its lineage is an adventure worth embarking on, and the reward is a truly artisanal strain that's unlike any other. Whether you're seeking relief from pain, anxiety, or just looking for a pleasant and calming experience, Orange Tree is a strain worth trying.

Similar to the Banana Punch from this same vintage, both the rosin and syrup of the Orange Tree performed very well, and each had a unique shift to the taste, smell, and high based on how we processed it. Specifically, for the Orange Tree, the citrus camphor gas and cream were more pronounced in the syrup product vs the bright orange and woodsy notes that were abundant in the rosin. The extract was naturally darker than the others as the harvest was slightly later than usual in the year and the week of flower. The material that was harvested earlier (1 week) was allocated to rosin, lighter in color and brighter, while this orange tree fresh frozen was equivalent to a dessert wine in how it was harvested and manufactured and tasted. We think that it behooves syrup to be harvested from fresh live flower that's later in its harvest cycle vs rosin, which should be harvested slightly earlier for color, etc.
